Chelston specialise in the development and
deployment of advance NT based Computer Telephony systems and services. Our
core product is CallHandler which was developed at a time when systems were
mainly UNIX based. These tended to suffer from the following limitations:
- be hard to program because of limited use of
Rapid Development Environments
- limited access from other computer
platforms, especially Microsoft Windows systems, on a world-wide
basis
- needed UNIX specialists to maintain
installations, which generally meant end users could not do this and were very
dependent on the suppliers
- difficult to operate by end users because of
non-graphical interfaces
- Line density was relatively low per
chassis
- hardware tended to have limited
functionality so multi-function solutions required equipment from a variety of
suppliers, which resulted in a deterioration of the support
responsiveness
- tended to be very expensive per
line
- The whole industry was cloaked in Jargon
which made it very difficult for new users to clearly understand what the
technology could offer their business
Chelston
are dedicated to providing a fresh approach to
this market and pioneered the development of high-density, user friendly
Computer Telephony systems using Aculab's Prosody Telephony Card and Microsoft
Windows NT.
During
these early days we formed a close
relationship with the core technical resources of Aculab, and this continues
today to provide us with a competitive advantage in producing leading edge yet
totally reliable systems.
Today
we have a proven core technology that will
support 4 to at least 2,400 lines per chassis - with the option to accommodate
more lines by the use of clustering technology. Total functionality is
available across all line configurations. Our customers benefit from this by
having a platform which is scalable, configurable, reliable, and maintainable.
Our mission is to enable our customers to focus
on their applications and leave the technology to us by delivering
user-friendly interfaces and feature set, and to provide total scaleability
that enable our customers to start small and grow big as their business grows
so protecting their investment.
Chelston's
core competencies are in Call Center
Solutions, Audio Conferencing, FAX on Demand, VoIP complete solutions, Web
connectivity, Text to Speech systems.
Chelston
provide a number of pre-configured solutions,
plus a developer Kit option where customers want to take total control of the
technology.
CallHandler is for
businesses that want to integrate voice, fax, data and networking on one
scalable, cost-effective platform, merged with standard PC technology such as
the web, databases, graphical user interfaces, and more. Currently able to
handle up to 2,400 simultaneous lines per PC/NT box, with on-going continuous
development.
