This important position involves the design and programming of various complex system level programs, for our core technology, CallHandler. Chelston's core technology is a highly-efficient, multi-threaded architecture based on the COM object model using 'C++' with the addition of visual BASIC for the service modules, using PC based Microsoft editors and compilers. The target environment being PC based Windows NT. The position involves systems based programming down to device driver level, although it may involve some Windows GUI work. Will work closely with the Technical Director and founder creator of the CallHandler and therefore have an opportunity to develop your skills alongside one of the most well respected developers in the business. The successful candidate will be a graduate (or will have a excellent programming capability) with 3 to 5 years experience in C/C++ programming. Recent graduates will be considered, provided they can demonstrate the required level of skill, maturity and commitment - above all we are looking for the ability to learn new skills and work as a team in a leading edge telecommunications environment. This position will suit a programmer who wants to be part of a team of disciplined, high calibre people who are at the forefront of technological developments. |

This customer facing position involves the provision of software in support of specific customer requirements. All CallHandler application/Service modules are written in Visual Basic and it is the creation of these for specific customers that the programmer will be involved in. Key skills include, the ability to listen to customer requirements and provide specifications and then implementations, for systems, interfaces and operational procedures. Also important is the ability to work with a variety of database structures, from small to the very large. Background tasks will often exist involving the preparation of test and example software, product development and documentation, and similar work, for both existing and new products. Some worldwide travel is expected. The successful candidate will have between 2 to 5 years VB Development experience. Recent graduates will be considered, provided they can demonstrate the required level of skill, maturity and commitment, and be an effective team player with good communication and interpersonal skills. Training in the company's products will be provided. This position will suite a programmer who wants to make a significant contribution with the work they do. |
